5th Grade

Mrs. Deborah Hughes had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior during her teen years.  In addition to a godly home, she was greatly blessed to have been part of a wonderful Christian school.  She graduated from Baptist Bible College with a degree in Secondary Education and earned her master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.  She has worked as a learning support teacher for Pleasant Valley School District, substituted for Pocono Mountain School District and as a tutor for Sylvan Learning Systems.   Her husband, Patrick, is pastor of New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshall’s Creek and they have three children who are graduates of Canaan Christian Academy.
